UnifyHouston was established in 2009 for the purpose of bringing together the diverse segments of Houston's Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) communities. In doing so we will give the local GLBT community a strong voice in Houston affairs. We will become a political force at the local, state and national levels.

Our ultimate mission is to unify Houston: To be a powerful mainstream voice for change. To reach out beyond the GLBT community to all of Houston's communities that need such a voice. To facilitate the exchange of information and ideas among those communities.

We are beginning our journey with this web site. Initially it will provide news, information and resources for the GLBT community. There is much more to come as we grow to fulfill our mission.
